Effective Email Marketing Strategies

Although most online entrepreneurs are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of email marketing, many do not know how to conduct an effective email marketing campaign. Unfortunately, these people will be very disadvantaged over competitors who are well versed in using subscriber lists to market to prospects.

The purpose of this article is to bridge this knowledge gap and offer some useful tips for online business owners who would like to implement an email marketing campaign to increase website traffic and of course, sales.

If you can afford to do it, hiring a professional to design and implement an effective email marketing campaign, is the quickest way to get up and running. The reason for this is obvious. Not only are such experts well experienced in email marketing, effective email marketing strategies are constantly being developed and adjusted.

Using the services of someone who can dedicate their working life to implementing successful email marketing campaigns means that you don’t have to experience the long and often expensive learning curve in order to achieve the same outcomes.

By being free to focus on your core business instead of having to spend most of your time learning and implementing new internet and email marketing strategies you will be better placed to achieve your business goals. So a professional who can design a complete email marketing campaign for you can provide an enormous boost to your business on more than one level.

However, once the decision is made to use a professional service, the difficulty is actually finding one that is of high professional quality and can deliver the best outcomes. Do not simply respond to a good piece of advertising or a professional looking website. You need to choose a professional who can demonstrate significant, long term experience, show a track record of successful campaigns, pay attention to your concerns, is able to detail and explain the strategies and can agree to a reasonable deadline for your project completion.

One of the most popular ways to use email marketing is to offer an e-course on a topic related to your niche. Ideally, such a course will comprise short, easy to digest sections, be genuinely informative and of interest to your target audience. You can also write the course in such a way that the information can be used to support selling points for various products and services. However, it is very important that you do not use your e-course to directly sell because this could be deemed to be spam. Simply offer information and links they can follow to your website where you can more directly promote your products or services.

Another very effective email marketing strategy is the publication and distribution of e- newsletters. An e-newsletter is simply an email equivalent of a more traditional print newsletter which is distributed conventionally. The cost of distributing an e-newsletter is next to nothing so it is an ideal method of disseminating information and directing readers back to your website. Most of your e-newsletter should be good quality content including feature articles, briefer articles offering helpful tips, and possibly product reviews.

You can also include graphics if you wish, however you need to be aware that people with slower running computers or on slower internet service plans may become frustrated and close the newsletter. Include links to your website pages or to affiliate sales pages and use some soft sell sales pitches to encourage your readers to click through. Although you can certainly encourage people to buy a product in an e-newsletter, you can be more convincing on your own sales pages.

No matter which email marketing strategy you decide on, you will need to monitor your results regularly. While some aspects of your email marketing strategy may be working, others may not be and will need to be replaced or adjusted. You also need to know what aspects of your email marketing campaign are most successful so that you can use them more often or more comprehensively.

For example, you may notice a spike in website traffic whenever a new newsletter is sent out. If this is the case, it might be a good idea to send your e-newsletter out more often. Just by paying attention to what is working and what is not, you can maximize your email marketing success.

How Effective Is Direct Response Advertising For Your Home Business?

Large corporations dump several hundreds of thousands of dollars into PPC to
get customers for their products using direct response because they can
simply afford to spend as much. As a home business owner, you don’t have that type of money to sink when using direct response either in TV infomercials
or Google AdWords.

I want to impress upon your mind that the next level of successful marketing
is in building relationship with every prospects that come your way.

For instance, let’s say you are using PPC and you want to get people to buy
your products. If you take the buyer straight to your products sales page,
you will not only make little, you will also spend a lot of money in PPC
fees.

However, if you had instead, sent the prospects to a page where he can get a
free report on your market that will give him all the information about the
products he is looking for, you will succeed in getting nearly 40% – 50% of
all your website visitors to download this e-book.

Once the e-book is downloaded, you can follow up with this prospects by sending him only relevant information in that market and products.

Once your reader sees that you offer value and you treat him as a person, and not like an electronic email, he will respect you for that, and will respond
to buying your products when you make them available.

If you ask me, I think the future of marketing anything online and offline is going to be through this avenue. Build a list and relationship in a market
and sell it to those who trust your recommendations. This work better than
direct response advertising.

Tools, Training and Resources For Your MLM or Network Marketing Business

There is a lot to be said for having the right tools and resources, but I have found that having the right training is more important. Without the right training, the best tools and resources will mean very little. Someone once said that knowledge is power. I hold this to be very true. With the right knowledge you hold the keys to the vault, so to speak.

You’ve gone through the investigating, building your plan and budget. You have even picked out the opportunity that you feel is best for you. So now what? You have probably signed up with someone and now have an up-line. That person is giving you encouragement and maybe a few insightful tips on how to get started. You are logged into you dashboard or back office, they are one and the same, and looking at all the buttons and thinking to yourself, where to I start?

Believe it or not, the best place to start is with training. There is going to be all kinds of good information about your opportunity and you need to know as much as you can about it. When you start to talk with people about your opportunity, they are going to have all kinds of questions. If you can’t answer them, then you are toast. Forget Sponsoring them, unless they are already a fan of yours and willing to try anything you suggest. Quite honestly, I have found that not even family or friends are going to do that unless you can answer some basic questions.

Dig in and spend as many hours as necessary learning about the product(s) you are promoting, the different ways you can get paid as a business associate and everything else you can learn. Think of it this way, if someone approached you with a great opportunity, what questions would you ask? Write those questions down and then start answering them. Know this, you are not going to be able to answer every question, but if you can answer the lion share of them, then you are going to be seen as an authority on the subject. People will be more receptive to you and will not be bothered by you telling them that you are not sure, but that you will get the answers to their questions.

Preparing yourself in this fashion, will give you the confidence you need to talk with people about your opportunity/product. You will be well on your way to being an expert and this will set you apart from the majority of other network marketers, even the ones that are offering the same opportunity or product. I will say this again, people don’t buy products or opportunities just because they sound good, they buy because the person that has presented it to them is offering value, their leadership.

Now that you have taken the time to grow your knowledge, it is time to reach out and introduce people to your product and opportunity. There are many ways of doing this. Look at your budget and then craft an approach based on that. Part of a successful approach to building your business is making sure you brand yourself. I go back to the adage that people are interested in doing business with leaders and the only way to present yourself in this light is to brand yourself. You need to make sure that you have a website that offers you the ability to personalize the appearance and message and customize the site to fit you. The site must offer you the ability to capture prospects and then funnel them through a selling environment that will ultimately put money in your pocket and a list that you can market your opportunity too.
